How does TM-100 work? 

The TM-100 is applied as a fog that seeks out and attacks mold by breaking down and digesting the mold.  Since it is a form of bacteria itself, it goes where the mold goes – so it isn’t necessary to tear up carpet and rip down walls in order to reach the mold.  The TM-100 survives as long as there is mold to eat.  Once the mold is gone, the TM-100 breaks down and dies itself – leaving behind only a fresh, citrusy scent.  Additionally, the enzyme creates a protective barrier from further mold attacks that lasts for three months.  The process only takes 24 hours and does not require property destruction, chemicals, or cleaning.  Because the hungry enzyme does most of the work so you don’t have to, this process is the least expensive means of mold removal.   

Is the TM-100 safe? 

TM-100 is an FDA approved organic material.  TM-100 is not a chemical – it is a naturally-occurring enzyme formulation.  It is breathable, even edible, and not environmentally hazardous, flammable, or dangerous in any way.  A volatile organic compound (VOC) test performed by OSHA showed the product to be safe for humans and pets.  The five enzymes used in the formulation are all on the FDA’s GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) list.  This environmentally-friendly, green solution is gaining favor from the government and scientific community.    

Where did TM-100 come from? 

TM-100 is still a very new product and was developed by Bio-Science only five years ago.  Bio-Science discovered the enzyme while doing oil tanker cleanups.   Two years ago it was approved for commercial use, but Bio-Science has limited the use of the product to a select few companies with certified staffs.  For this reason, TM-100 remains rather exclusive.

Cleaning and removing mold manually is time-consuming, expensive, and often very unhealthy.  If done incorrectly, the remediation process can actually exacerbate the mold problem by spreading around the mold rather than improving the situation.  When mold-contaminated materials are disturbed they can release 10 to 1000 times more spores which can be inhaled the workers and spread the mold to new locations.  Walls may need to be torn down and carpet may be torn up to access the mold – and there is no guarantee that all of the mold will be found and removed.  Opening moldy wall cavities can release millions of mold spores.  Moldy materials are usually unsalvageable and must be disposed of properly in plastic bags and replaced.  Disinfecting chemicals and biocides can be even more toxic than mold if not handled carefully and chemical residue can remain after the mold is removed. This process can take weeks to manually remove all of the mold.

The TM-100 enzyme can safely eliminate mold within 24 hours.  It can seek out mold in hidden or hard-to-reach places without having to destroy property to access the mold.  It is safe and effective – ensuring that all of the mold has been wiped out before the enzyme dies itself.
