Oak Ridge Elementary Finally Reopens After Exhaustive IAQ Battle

Someone could make a documentary about this story, but to sum things up – students and teachers at the school were becoming sick, fingers were pointed at mold and moisture issues, the school spent thousands on testing but could not find a definitive link to mold, eventually the school was shut down. After so many months having to split students among nearby schools, parents were eager to finally send their kids back to Oak Ridge.

City Hall Remediation to Cost One Million Dollars

If you follow mold news like me then you’ve probably wondered why city halls and courthouses always seem to have mold issues. I’m not sure of the reason, but I have a few theories. It’s not simply because they are old as I can point to many examples of such buildings becoming overrun with mold that are only a few years old.
