Guardian Preservation Services Featured on PBS Mold Removal Special

Guardian Preservation Services was recently featured on the PBS “For Your Home” special on mold removal. The episode centers on a 200-year-old log cabin that was moved to the top of a mountain. The cabin recently suffered winter damage including frozen pipes and a leaky roof that allowed water to intrude, causing indoor mold growth over time. Guardian explained the dangers of mold on health and property, as well as proper and efficient mold removal methods.

Mold Forces 30 Families to Vacate

October 11, 2010

All the families living in this 30-unit apartment complex have been forced to vacate the building after a long battle with a growing mold problem – a battle they have evidently lost. Industrial hygienist, Chris Lakin, declared 24 apartment units should be vacated immediately, but gave the remaining 6 units a slightly less failing grade of “uninhabitable, but only until the fall.”

We often look for someone else to blame when we ourselves are at fault for not taking care of our problems while we still have the chance.
