Mold Designing Traffic Routes For Us

January 21, 2011

To determine just how efficient a mold-designed traffic network will be, researchers ran a test against a preexisting model: Tokyo’s train network. On a map of Japan, bits of food were placed in a pattern representing major cities. The larger the city, the bigger the oat flake was used in its representation. Then, researchers impregnated the Physarum polycephalum mold on the flake representing Tokyo. Finally, they played the waiting game.

Mold at Ground Zero

What followed was an argument with the Bank’s insurance company over what actions should be taken. The mold had gotten out of hand and was no longer approved for human use. The insurers recommended the use of a biocide to treat the mold and the bank agreed. They implemented a program to remove all visibly moldy ceiling tiles and wallboard.

Mr. Marmon had stepped into a moldy office that was causing employees a range of symptoms from extreme fatigue to nosebleeds. Mail Stopped by Mold

A Colorado Springs post office has a mold problem in the mail room that is literally interfering with the U.S. Postal Service’s ability to deliver mail. Dozens of people have been given notice saying that they will not be getting anymore mail since postal employees cannot enter the mail room to sort it. These residents have been instructed to come to the general mail facility, about a mile away, to personally to receive their mail.
